Juliet Clare Bell - author
Juliet Clare Bell is the author of Don't Panic, Annika! published by Piccadilly Press, and The Kite Princess, a rhyming picture book for Barefoot Books.
She is called Clare by everyone, because her parents quickly decided that their long and scrawny newborn baby with tufts of orange hair did not quite resemble the tragic heroine from Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet. They didn’t decide quickly enough though, as they had already put Juliet Clare on her birth certificate.
Her life has been far from tragic and she lives very happily in Birmingham with her husband and three small children. She can usually be found on the floor doing puzzles, reading books or being climbed on. Very occasionally, when she is not writing, she can be found watching Columbo (Scooby Doo for grown-ups).
