Only One of Me – a picture book especially for bereaved children. And specifically, for children with a parent who is terminally ill or has died.
Co-written by the late Lisa Wells and children’s author Michelle Robinson, this beautiful picture book touches on the reality of losing a parent. Written with the support of a child psychologist, it opens up discussions about the support children need when a parent dies.
Importantly, Only One of Me is for bereaved children. We wouldn’t recommend reading it to children who aren’t in this position – it could be unnecessarily distressing.
Together with child psychologist Dr Konrad Jacobs, publisher Graffeg has created a page of practical, age specific advice at onlyoneofme.co.uk
