Polly Noakes is an illustrator and author living in a windswept cottage in North Yorkshire.
With a love of lyrical storytelling, she's recently been developing her writing, creating new stories alongside a fresh new illustration style.
Polly Noakes grew up in a busy and creative household in Cambridge. Having initially studied illustration at Cambridge School Of Art, she returned years later to graduate from the MA in Children’s Book Illustration.
Over the years Polly has illustrated her own stories - like The Very Long Sleep and Hide and Seek, published by Child's Play.
She's illustrated other authors' texts too, like Jonathan Emmett's A Present for Rosy - published by Walker in 2022. And anthologies by Edward Blishen, young readers by Mary Hoffman and Sarah Lean.
Polly's worked with a number of other publishers, including Harper Collins, Macmillan, Dorling Kindersley, Usborne Books and Orion.
The Sleepytime Music Book by Sam Taplin came out with Usborne in 2022.
