Steve began writing fiction for children and young adults following years of making a living as a performance poet, running workshops in schools and holding writing residencies in weird and wonderful places such as Battersea Dogs' Home and Hamleys Toy Shop. He has performed his poems on BBC 1, Channel 4 and the Number 21 Bus (in collaboration with The Arts Council and Transport for London), many of which can be found on YouTube.
