Zoe Arena's debut picture book Mandy is Still a Banana, illustrated by Amy Evans, comes out with Hachette in 2025.
Before Zoe was represented by The Catchpole Agency, in 2022 Mandy is Still a Banana won the Little Tiger Press and I Am In Print Picture Book Competition - and then was selected by dPICTUS for their Unpublished Picturebook Showcase in Bologna.
Biography
As an army child, Zoe moved around a lot, but writing stories always felt like home. She's drawn to writing about introspective inanimate objects and animals with lots of heart.
After night-school, Zoe studied Photography at the Blackpool School of Arts followed by a first-class Writing degree in Southampton. She then pretended to do a lot of jobs.
Zoe Arena lives in Kent with her husband, son and cat.
She's now represented by The Catchpole Agency.
